Who’s Living in the 80s?

Molly Duke,
Editor-in-Chief
(Empress of the 80s)

I’m Molly Duke and I’m still living in the 80s. Go ahead and laugh it up (fuzzball) but believe me, if you’re going to be stuck in the past, the 80s is the place to be.

I wasn’t made in the 80s but I came of age during this tubular decade. Actually, I was just seven years old when it started, and I was lucky enough to soak it all up – every single 80s minute. And believe me, I had it all – the Atari, the totally neon socks, a rad collection of mix tapes, and a subscription to Teen Beat Magazine. I even had my very own bitchin’ MTV t-shirt, with my name on the back in glittery bubble letters.

I cried when Solid Gold was canceled and my dreams of becoming a Solid Gold dancer were ruined forever. But I like totally perked up when I realized that I could be an MTV veejay instead. Who would have guessed that MTV wouldn’t even be playing music twenty years later? Oh my god!

So, with my Solid Gold dreams debunked and my veejay ambitions thwarted by bad reality TV, I decided the only thing left for me to do was to resurrect the 80s. What better place to do that than on the Internet?

And that’s why I started this awesome 80s website.
